How do we know Child Foundation is a non-profit charity?

How are the children selected?
Sponsorship General Criteria:

  1. Preferably born with a birth defect that can be seen.
  2. Children up to age 18 (exceptions made).
  3. Short term treatable with good chance of success.
  4. Treatment not available to them in their country.
  5. Family has no insurance in US and/or not eligible for any government assistance.

What medical/physical conditions qualify?
Any birth defect causing the child physical or psychological discomfort is considered.

Is the surgery done in the U.S. or in their home country?
Currently, the surgeries are performed in the U.S.

How is my donation used?
Your donations pay for the hospital charges related to the surgical procedure. The surgical procedure is donated by the participating doctor(s).

If I make an online donation, how will my credit card information be protected?
When registering or logging in to our site, our online payment service, PayPal verifies your internet browser is running Secure Sockets Layer 3.0 (SSL) or higher. Your information is protected by SSL with an encryption key length of 128 bits (the highest level commercially available).

If I make a donation, will anyone else have access to my email address? Do you share email addresses with other organizations?
We do not share information with any other organization.
